Accordion Book Instructions

This four page accordion book invites a friend to a party. Page 1 announces that "It's a Celebration!" Page 2 has a small envelope with an invitation. Page 3 notes that an RSVP is required, while the last page holds another envelope with an RSVP card. This invite is a sure way to get a 100% turnout at your next party!

Materials for accordion:

• Card stock
• Specialty paper for announcement and envelopes
• Ribbon

Instructions:

• Cut card stock to 4" x 16"
• Score card stock every 4" like an accordion
• Glue to middle of each 4"x4" page in the following order:

  Page 1:

  • 1" x 2" light colored paper
  • 3/4" x 1 3/4" contrasting paper (purple, in this sample)
  • 1/4" x 1 1/2" paper with "It's a celebration!" (done with MS Word and printed on a laser printer)
  • Glue page 1 to front cover

Page 2:

• 3" x 7" specialty paper
• Fold into an envelope
• Glue to middle of page 2
• Tie bow with ribbon and glue to envelope flap
• Insert a 2" x 2" invitation card in envelope

Page 3:

• 1" x 2" light colored paper
• 3/4" x 1 3/4" contrasting paper (green, in this sample)
• 1/4" x 1 1/2" paper with "RSVP" (done with MS Word and printed on a laser printer)

Page 4:

• 3" x 7" specialty paper
• Fold into an envelope
• Glue to middle of page 4
• Tie bow with ribbon and tie or glue to envelope flap
• Insert a 2" x 2" RSVP card in envelope
• Glue page 4 to back cover
