Accordion Book Envelope

A card or book is made extra special with a beautifully crafted envelope. The one featured here combines lacy ribbon, stencils and vellum to create an unforgettable effect.

Materials:

• 8" x 11 1/2" colored vellum
• Brass stencil and stencil tool Ribbon

Instructions:

• Score along width at 3" from bottom
  
• Score along width at 3 1/2" from top
  
• Score along length at 1 1/2" from left and from right
  
• Cut away four corner squares:
  • 2 - 3 1/2" x 1 1/2" upper left and upper right
    
  • 2 - 3" x 1 1/2" lower left and lower right
    
• Score 1/2" from center square, along all sides
  
• Score two small slits on top envelope flap 1/2" wide and 1/2" apart
  
• Stencil top flap if desired
  
• Fold over all flaps
  
• Glue side flaps to bottom flap
  
• Thread ribbon through slits
  
• Tie ribbon around envelope and end with bow
