Back Road Along the Santa Fe River

Looking for a way to cross what used to be the Santa Fe River, I found this back road. This road runs along the river, but did not lead across the river. Was I lost? For a minute. I found another road which is paved part way (that's why everyone drives SUVs and trucks!) and is dirt for a few yards, going across the dry river.
